Shawn recently was involved in the unveiling of the new Dallas Mavericks Dancers 2005 Calendar of which he has been the photographer and designer of the calendar for the last three years.
Speaking of the Dallas Mavericks! Shawn heard about the Mavs looking for a group of "larger than life" guys to promote the Mavs. Shawn tried out and won a position on the Mavs ManiAACs! Check him out on the team website.
Shawn was the photographer for the "Sing For The Cure" Charity event which was a benefit for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in Dallas. He photographed most of the participants of the event, including Dr. Maya Angelou. As a side note, Shawn was Dr. Angelou's escort for the evening festivities. The charity event also included Mary Wilson (original member of the Supremes) which Shawn also photographed.
Shawn also was the designer and photographer for a "coffee table" book detailing the work associated with the making of the "Dallas Soars - Project: Pegasus". This book details the project of painting the winged horses. Over 100 local artists painted and decorated the large winged pegasus sculptures which were placed all over Dallas.
Shawn also sings with the Turtle Creek Chorale in Dallas, Texas. Last year, he was with the group performing in Carnegie Hall in New York City.
